ID Released Of Man Found Dead Along Shoulder Of Busy Westchester Road

Police have identified the man who was found fatally shot in the shoulder of a busy Westchester road on Monday morning.

The Yonkers Police Department received a report at approximately 8:20 a.m. on July 16, of a dead body that was found alongside the shoulder of the eastbound lanes of Tuckahoe Road with multiple gunshot wounds near the I-87 overpass.

The body was found by a passerby, who reported it to police. On Tuesday, Yonkers Police Sgt. Jared Singer identified the victim as Queens resident Brian Brain, 35, who was shot several times. Brain’s body is now with the Westchester County Medical Examiner for further evaluation.

Singer said that no other information would be released at this time as the investigation continues. No suspect has been identified by investigators.
